Aviation Management
BBA specialisation
A BBA track on the business side of flying — airline and airport operations, ground handling, air cargo, aviation safety and security basics, reservations and ticketing, and customer service. It does not train you to fly or maintain aircraft; those need a DGCA pilot licence or an aircraft maintenance engineering (AME) licence.
After Aviation Management, you can
How you get in
Class 12 in any stream. Admission is by Class 12 marks, CUET-UG, or a university's own test. Many aviation-management programmes are run by private universities and institutes, some with airline or airport training partners; the degree is awarded by the affiliating university.
At a glance
- Many airline and airport jobs (ground staff, cabin crew) recruit Class 12 pass or any graduate, so this degree is not required for entry, though the subject knowledge and internships help.
- Cabin-crew and some ground posts have age, height and medical standards.
- Shift work, including nights and holidays, is normal at airports.
- Common next steps: an MBA, or a move into cargo, logistics or airline commercial roles.
