B.Sc major
A science degree about individuals, families and communities. It usually covers five areas — food and nutrition, human development and family studies, textiles and clothing, resource management, and extension and communication — with a specialisation in later years. ICAR's agricultural universities now call it Community Science. It leads to nutrition, child-development, textile, extension and teaching work, and to postgraduate study.
