B.Sc major
A science degree in matter and its reactions: organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry, with substantial lab work and supporting Physics, Mathematics or Biology. It leads to pharmaceutical, chemical and materials industries, quality-control and testing labs, teaching and research.

How you get in
Class 12 in the science stream, usually with Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology, plus Physics. Central universities (Delhi University, BHU and others) admit through CUET-UG scores in the relevant subjects; many state universities and their colleges admit on Class 12 merit or a state test. You usually choose the major — or a combination of two or three subjects — at admission.
