B.Sc major
A science degree in living systems. Depending on the college it is offered as Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or a combined Life Sciences major. You study cell and molecular biology, genetics, physiology, ecology and lab techniques. It leads to biotech and pharma labs, research, healthcare-adjacent work and teaching.

How you get in
Class 12 in the science stream, usually with Biology (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). Central universities (Delhi University, BHU and others) admit through CUET-UG scores in the relevant subjects; many state universities and their colleges admit on Class 12 merit or a state test. You usually choose the major — or a combination of two or three subjects — at admission. This is a separate route from NEET-based medical admissions.
