At a glance
- Many state agriculture department posts ask for an agriculture degree specifically.
- Private-sector work is mostly in seeds, fertilisers, agrochemicals, food processing and rural finance.
- An M.Sc (Agriculture) through ICAR AIEEA-PG is a common next step.
