How you get in
Class 12 in any stream. Admission is by Class 12 marks, CUET-UG, or a university's own test. Most students pick the specialisation in the second or third year; some institutes admit directly to a named programme.
At a glance
- Many entry roles are in sales or business development, often with targets and incentives.
- Digital marketing roles expect hands-on skill with ad platforms, analytics and content; short certifications and a portfolio are common.
- Brand-management roles are often filled through MBA campus hiring.
- Common next step: an MBA (Marketing), often after a few years of work.
In numbers
B.B.A. row of the programme-wise table; AISHE does not report BBA marketing separately. In 2023-24 AISHE also lists B.B.A. (Hons) as a separate row (~18,300), which is not included here. AISHE counts only institutions that responded to the survey; coverage varies by year, so part of any change can reflect reporting rather than real growth.
