Reviews user content and accounts on online platforms against policies and the law.

What you’d do
Trust and safety analysts decide whether content, ads or accounts on an online platform break its rules or the law. They are hired by social media, marketplace and gaming platforms and by outsourcing firms that run review teams for them. A typical day is a queue of flagged cases, judgement calls on grey areas, and escalation of serious ones.
- Review flagged posts, ads and accounts
- Apply platform policies consistently
- Escalate legal or high-risk cases
- Spot abuse patterns and report trends
How you get in
Freshers usually join a review or moderation team through campus or walk-in hiring and are trained on the platform's policies. Clear written English, reasoning about rules and their exceptions, and one or more Indian languages help. Moving into policy, quality or investigations roles comes with experience.
