What you’d do

A quality engineer sets up the checks and processes that make sure manufactured parts and products meet standards. Automotive suppliers, engineering goods and electronics manufacturers hire them. • Defines inspection plans and checks
  • Analyses defects and root causes
  • Works with suppliers on quality
  • Maintains quality system documents

How you get in

Freshers join as graduate engineer trainees or junior quality engineers through campus placement at manufacturers. A Six Sigma Green Belt or quality tools course can help with shortlisting.
