What you’d do
An OT and anaesthesia technologist gets operation theatres, instruments and anaesthesia machines ready, and supports surgeons and anaesthetists during procedures. Employers are hospitals, surgical centres and trauma care units. A shift involves checking equipment, setting up for each case, assisting during surgery and helping with recovery and sterilisation routines.

How you get in
Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, then a B.Sc in OT and Anaesthesia Technology with an internship. Freshers usually join hospitals as OT technicians; government hospitals recruit through state and central recruitment exams.
