How you get in
Freshers usually enter through internships at newspapers, channels or digital outlets, or after a journalism diploma — for example from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, which admits by entrance test. A portfolio of published work, including campus or freelance pieces, counts for a lot. Strong writing in an Indian language opens the large regional-language media sector.
