What you’d do
HRIS executives look after the software an organisation uses for HR: employee records, leave, attendance, onboarding and appraisal workflows. They work in company HR teams or at HR software vendors and implementation partners. The work mixes data upkeep, report building and helping employees and HR colleagues use the system.
- Keep employee records accurate in the HRMS
- Set up workflows for leave and onboarding
- Pull HR reports and dashboards
- Help users with HR system issues
How you get in
Entry is often through HR operations roles, then moving towards system work, or through HR software vendors that hire freshers for implementation and support. Comfort with data, Excel and learning new software is the main filter.
