What you’d do
A cloud or DevOps engineer builds and runs the infrastructure that software is deployed on: cloud servers, networks, build and deployment pipelines, and monitoring. Employers include IT services firms, product companies, startups and banks. A typical day involves automating deployments, managing cloud resources, handling alerts, and helping developers ship code safely.

How you get in
