A typical day involves CAD modelling, calculations or simulation, design reviews and documentation.
- Model parts and assemblies in CAD
- Run structural and weight calculations
- Prepare drawings to aerospace standards
- Work with manufacturing and test teams
How you get in
Freshers usually join engineering services firms, drone or space start-ups, or public-sector aerospace companies as graduate engineer trainees. Student aircraft, drone or rocketry projects and CAD skills help when applying; research-lab roles often expect an M.Tech or a GATE score.
